- Yesterday, HHS, through HRSA, awarded $100 million to 1,381 health centers across the country with funding provided by the Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2020. HRSA-funded health centers may use the awards to address screening and testing needs, acquire medical supplies and boost telehealth capacity in response to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. - We continually update our Health Center Program COVID-19 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) webpage. Yesterday and today, we added more than a dozen questions on topics including:
- The release of fiscal year 2020 COVID-19 funding.
- HRSA expectations around demonstrating compliance during the COVID-19 emergency.
- FTCA coverage of telehealth visits with non-patients.
- HIPAA flexibilities for providing telehealth using technologies like FaceTime, Facebook Messenger, Google Hangouts, or Skype.
