Latest News

  • Missed yesterday’s “Today with Macrae: Health Center Program Updates” call? Here’s a recording. We’ll post a transcript of the call soon. NOTE: People using assistive technology may not be able to fully access information in these files. For assistance, contact HRSAAccessibility@hrsa.gov.
  • Yesterday, HHS, through HRSA, awarded $100 million to 1,381 health centers across the country with funding provided by the Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2020. HRSA-funded health centers may use the awards to address screening and testing needs, acquire medical supplies and boost telehealth capacity in response to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. See a list of award recipients.
  • We continually update our Health Center Program COVID-19 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) webpage. Yesterday and today, we added more than a dozen questions on topics including:
    • The release of fiscal year 2020 COVID-19 funding.
    • HRSA expectations around demonstrating compliance during the COVID-19 emergency.
    • FTCA coverage of telehealth visits with non-patients.
    • HIPAA flexibilities for providing telehealth using technologies like FaceTime, Facebook Messenger, Google Hangouts, or Skype.
    • Possible effects of COVID-19 on Uniform Data System (UDS) reporting, Quality Improvement Awards, accreditation, training and technical assistance events, and the 340B Drug Pricing Program.
