Fill Your Plate with Color

Colorful food doesn’t just look and taste good — it can be good for you, too. Eating a wide variety of fruits and vegetables can fuel your body with healthy vitamins and nutrients to help you prevent chronic disease.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture recommends filling half your plate with fruits and vegetables at any given meal — about 30 percent vegetables and 20 percent fruit.

Check out our website More Matters for ideas to brighten your plate with nutritious — and delicious — fruits and vegetables.

Smart nutrition and healthy living begin with you.
