Lower pricing effective in July
Beginning July 1, we are implementing new, lower pricing for Login.gov services. We want Login.gov to be even more accessible and cost-effective for our partners, reinforcing our commitment to delivering value to taxpayers. Notification about this new pricing structure was sent to exec/program POCs at each agency. You can also check with your account manager for details and to learn more.
New reporting and data visualization capabilities (beta) now live in the Partner Portal
We have officially launched a beta data visualization and self-service reporting feature in the Partner Portal. Now agency partners with the Production Team Admin role can use the Partner Portal to access reports, including monthly identity verification and authentication metrics. This will provide greater visibility into the reach of your Login.gov integrations through intuitive data visualizations. Looking ahead, we plan to expand these capabilities to include additional data and features, such as fraud analytics and more authentication/identity verification insights.

New IdV policy coming soon: No identity proofing of minors
As part of our ongoing efforts to align with NIST 800-63 Revision 4 guidelines, we are implementing a policy to prohibit minors (aged 17 and under) from completing the identity verification process in both our Basic and Enhanced flows. We are formalizing this policy now based on risk management and evidentiary reliability standards in the latest NIST guidelines. This policy will go into effect on July 31, 2026.
We are exploring options within the latest NIST guidelines to support minors having identity verified Login.gov accounts in the future. As a reminder, children aged 13 and older can continue to maintain authentication-only Login.gov accounts within our Rules of Use.
Update on mobile driver’s licenses
We are continuing to make progress toward accepting mobile driver’s licenses (mDLs) in our identity verification workflow with an upcoming launch. Please join our upcoming partner webinar for a demo of how it will work and a chance to ask questions. Our team has also been working with NIST National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence on their mDL demonstration project with an upcoming use case featuring Login.gov to be published in the coming weeks.
July ConMon Meeting
The next Agency Collaborative Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) meeting is Wednesday, July 15th from 2:00pm - 2:30pm ET. The goals of the ConMon include sharing Plans of Action and Milestones and reviewing Deviation and Significant Change Requests. These meetings offer partners the opportunity to collaborate and help us make risk-based decisions together.

Technical Update: Action Required for SAML and OIDC Integrations
Login.gov is continuing work to strengthen the security and reliability of partner integrations. Agencies using SAML should ensure they have updated to the 2026 SAML certificate and endpoints before the July 1 deadline. Please refer to our developer documentation for more details: https://developers.login.gov/saml/getting-started/#signing-certificates.
Partners using OpenID Connect (OIDC) should also verify they have implemented the updated logout flow. The deprecated [id_token_hint] parameter should no longer be relied upon, and integrations should support the required [client_id] parameter. If your team has not yet completed this update, please coordinate with your technical staff as soon as possible.
