Congratulations to 2024 Service to the Citizen Awardees Ashleigh Sanders and Isabel Metzger!
Congrats to Ashleigh and Izzy, who are being recognized for "developing a groundbreaking data science toolkit aimed at enhancing federal service delivery in alignment with directives like the Executive Order on Customer Experience and the IDEA Act. This open-source toolkit, hosted on GSA's GitHub, empowers government agencies to extract actionable insights from diverse sources of customer feedback, both structured (e.g., surveys) and unstructured (e.g., emails, chatbot interactions). This initiative addresses the challenge of effectively utilizing the vast amount of unstructured data to gain deeper understanding and improve service delivery."
Their work has had a real-world impact on service delivery and it contributes to the administration's goals of modernizing federal service delivery and improving customer outcomes.
You can read more about their work on the Service to the Citizen website and register to attend the September 13th ceremony, where they'll be recognized, on Eventbrite.

Don't Forget! The Career Planning and Training Tool is Here to Help
The CFO Council's (CFOC) Career Planning and Training Tool has recently undergone a revision to its functionality to make it easier to identify courses that align with the CFOC’s core competencies for the financial management job series (501, 510, 511 and 565). You can start using the tool by clicking on the job series and GS-level filters. Career guidance in the form of virtual cards will display in the center of the screen and below.
Each virtual card will include information about a competency, including a general description, relevant behaviors, and proficiency levels. The cards will also contain embedded links to vendor courses that will help you master aspects of each competency. The partner vendors offer a wide array of course types and learning modalities, including on-line, on-site, hybrid, micro-learning, cohort style, and many more. These courses are available for purchase via government purchase card (note - purchases on government purchase cards are limited to $10,000; most courses are significantly less than that).
Try it today and give your professional development a boost!
