Last week, we asked: How do you keep calm? Here’s how you responded:
Exercising, getting outdoors, and listening to music all tied for first; deep breathing and meditation were in second; and reading came in third. Volunteering, gardening, and playing with pets were some of the answers submitted by respondents.
This week, we want to know: Which Olympic sport fits your fitness style?
We’ll include your responses in the next Week in Review, so be sure to check back for results and more info on Wellness Month. Other upcoming events:
- Aug. 19th - OCFO meeting stand-down Monday
- Aug. 28th - Paws & Claws Meet and Greet
Find the most up-to-date info on the Wellness Month page of the OCFO Google site. And be sure to share feedback on your experience so far!
Your participation in OCFO Wellness Month activities is voluntary, but we hope you can attend. If you have questions or need an accommodation to participate fully, reach out to the Engagement Team at OCFOEngagementTeam@gsa.gov

Shout out to Rodney MCMillin, Jeremy Farmer, and Thomas Locum (all BD2E)!
When FSD was unable to FTP our daily IPAC files to Pegasys, the FIOD team stepped in to ensure the files were FTP'd before month end. We thank each of them for their contributions.

Shout out to Michael Griese (BGR)!
Kudos to Michael Griese for his work on building the Multifunctional Device automation. After just a few months of the automation being in operation, we quickly identified underutilized devices. We were able to repurpose devices in other locations to maximize life usage of devices.

Safeguarding Data Privacy in the Age of AI: What You Need to Know
In this week's Analytics Corner, we emphasize the critical importance of protecting Federal Nonpublic Information when using AI tools. Remember, Business Identifiable Information (BII), Personally Identifiable Information (PII), Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and Financial Disclosure Information must never be input into AI systems. These measures are essential to ensure compliance with GSA's directives and to maintain the integrity and privacy of our data. Stay informed and vigilant!
For more details, read the full directive on the use of AI at GSA here.

Don't Forget! The Career Planning and Training Tool is Here to Help
The CFO Council's (CFOC) Career Planning and Training Tool has recently undergone a revision to its functionality to make it easier to identify courses that align with the CFOC’s core competencies for the financial management job series (501, 510, 511 and 565). You can start using the tool by clicking on the job series and GS-level filters. Career guidance in the form of virtual cards will display in the center of the screen and below.
Each virtual card will include information about a competency, including a general description, relevant behaviors, and proficiency levels. The cards will also contain embedded links to vendor courses that will help you master aspects of each competency. The partner vendors offer a wide array of course types and learning modalities, including on-line, on-site, hybrid, micro-learning, cohort style, and many more. These courses are available for purchase via government purchase card (note - purchases on government purchase cards are limited to $10,000; most courses are significantly less than that).
Try it today and give your professional development a boost!
