Q: Do opportunities exist for details within OCFO other than the ones listed on GSA's Opportunity Network?
A: Managers and supervisors are encouraged to list details on GSA’s Opportunity Network, when possible. In addition to details, the Opportunity Network hosts projects, temporary promotions, and job shadowing opportunities across the agency.
Other times, when a position needs to be filled quickly or when certain skillsets are needed, the CFO and the directors can make selections for details at their discretion.
Q: What is the selection process for OCFO and front office detail opportunities?
A: The selection process varies across the organization, as the CFO and each of the directors have their own processes for making selections.

Shout out to Kim Holcomb (BG2EAE)!
A shout to Kim Holcomb for assisting in the Cash Collections Section for these past few months, going over and above, and providing awesome training for new staff
Submitted by: Robin Jackson (BG2EAF)
Shout out to Alonso Garcia, Michelle Brown, and Chuen Wong (all BGF)!
For going above and beyond in working urgent acceptance and funds certification requests for a last minute contract extension in FAS while the AAS team finalized the source selection for the re-compete action. This contract is in support of Air Force-wide financial management and systems support services and a break in service would have been detrimental to Air Force operations. The dedicated and timely support from Alonso, Michelle, and Chuen ensured that the contract modification was in place to avert a disruption to the Air Force financial management community and reinforces BGF's valuable support to FAS!
THANK YOU and GREAT JOB, Alonso, Michelle, and Chuen!

Shout out to Felicia Ford Jones (BGA)!
Felicia Ford Jones is the Intra GSA Eliminations Team lead and a systems accountant/IT guru for BGA. Felicia helped me with writing a script to fulfill a very large data request for the Technology Modernization Fund.
With her expertise and knowledge, the script is now added to the monthly robotics process automation exercise. These data requests can now be accessed by simply running the bot which gives more ease, efficiency, and data integrity. I fondly refer to Felicia as one of GSA’s Hidden Figures, as I believe she can write a script in her sleep. Thanks, Felicia, for all that you do to help with automating processes that is sure to help us all with financial reporting.

Shout out to Robert Wendell (BGP)!
Shout out to Bob Wendell for successfully presenting the first session of Real Property Substantial Completion Training. The first session had over 200 attendees from PBS and OCFO! Bob's presentation was well-organized, comprehensive, and an excellent refresher on the importance of timely and accurate substantial completion dates.
