Dear GSA Team,
I have some bittersweet news to share today. Mehul Parekh, GSA’s Deputy Chief Financial Officer, will be leaving GSA on August 8 to continue his career of public service at the Department of Education. I hope you’ll join me in wishing him all the best in this new phase of his career.
Over the last five years, Mehul has served as the agency’s Budget Director, helping secure the annual funding necessary to achieve the agency’s mission, guiding GSA through the longest government shutdown in history as well as helping execute the CARES Act and other supplemental funding.
Mehul also served as the agency’s acting Chief Financial Officer for seven months and recently completed a detail to TTS to serve as the Senior Advisor for Operations.
In the interim, I know that Nimisha Agarwal will continue her strong leadership as GSA’s Chief Financial Officer as we look for a new deputy and Ann Lewis will continue to build out her leadership team to help TTS grow and scale in ways that best support the organization. Thank you to the OCFO and TTS teams for continuing to deliver on our vast mission.
