New! Code Your Timesheets Properly for the Columbus Day Holiday
This year Columbus Day falls on Monday, October 10, 2022.
Full-time and part-time employees scheduled to work on Monday, October 10, 2022, are excused from duty and entitled to holiday pay.
Employees on a standard or a flexible schedule are provided with 8 hours of holiday pay. Employees on a compressed schedule are provided with holiday pay for the number of hours they would have been scheduled to work on that day.
Some full-time employees may not be scheduled to work on Monday, the calendar holiday. If you are in this group, you are instead eligible for an “in-lieu-of holiday.” The in-lieu-of holiday will be the last workday immediately preceding October 10. For most employees, the in-lieu-of holiday will be observed on Friday, October 7, 2022.
To record holiday time off, use the Time Reporting Code "002-Holiday Observed.”
You can reach out to your HR contact or the timekeeping helpdesk with questions.

If you want to make sure your data visualizations are useful to a wider audience, think accessibility! Resources like Adobe's Contrast Checker will verify that your visualization meets minimum contrast recommendations for visual clarity, and the Color Blind Safe tool will ensure your colors are easily distinguishable.
