OCFO Activities

New Poll: FEVS Fever?

The annual Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey launched this week. Because we're aiming for 100% participation (and because there's nothing wrong with a little friendly competition), the weekly poll has become a FEVS response rate tracker. If you have already taken the survey, let us know and tell us your office. We'll use this anonymous (unscientific) self-reported information to track each office's progress during the survey's open period. Once OPM releases the official data, we'll crown a winning team. Since these results will be compared to official data, it's better to take the survey than to try to pad your team's progress with votes. Nice try, though.

Respond to the poll by July 15 and watch this space for running results. Good luck!

OCFO Analytics Corner

Welcome to the OCFO Analytics Corner! Each week, the Analytics Community of Practice (A-CoP) team will be sharing events, training, resources, and more. Complete this Google Form to receive more information about the A-CoP or to get involved.

Looking for the Datathon Presentations?

Want to catch up on presentations from the first two datathons while you anxiously await Datathon 3.0? You're in luck! Reports, presentations, and recordings from past teams have a new home on the Analytics Hub. Participants can reminisce over last year's events or, if you've never participated in a datathon before, find out what all the fuss is about while there's still time to sign up for the next one!

Shout Outs

Every week we will feature OCFO colleagues who have been recognized by their peers for their great work and character. This is a quick, easy, and fun way to acknowledge and thank one another. To recognize one (or more) of your peers in the next Week in Review, use the OCFO Shout Outs Google Form.

shout outs

Shout out to the entire Audit Management & Accountability (BA) team!

Big SHOUT OUT to the entire Audit Management & Accountability team! They organized the best baby shower for me; I was blown away! It feels good to feel supported... and I couldn't be more thankful for how supportive my team has been. Plus, it was my first time meeting a number of my colleagues in person, which made it even more special. Thank you all!

Shout out to Kathleen Contrabasso (BGF)!

I wanted to give a shout out to Kathleen Contrabasso on leading the charge for change management! She ensures our staff is understating the updates in processes implemented from process, internal control or system changes. Her open communication style helps ensure all updates/changes are understood by all! Keep up the good work, Kathleen!

Shout out to Ed Gramp (BGN)!

Huge thanks to Ed for helping me prepare for a major presentation this week! He reviewed the slides with me and provided advice to get me prepared. Ed always makes time to help others, and I am forever grateful for the support and encouragement he provides.

Shout out to Jewell Anderson (BIA), Mark Sachse (BIA), Nathan Keene (CSDE1), De-Borah Mack (BIS), Gleason Rowe (BIS), and Katie Rooney (BIS)!

Kudos to a cross-function BI team (Jewell Anderson, Mark Sachse, Nathan Keene, De-Borah Mack, Gleason Rowe, Katherine Rooney) for their hard work in evolving GSA's Enterprise Dashboard. The Enterprise Dashboard is a "one-stop shop" for senior leaders and staff to search organizational performance data and now is aligned to GSA's FY22-26 Strategic Plan and Performance Framework

Or perhaps you want to “tax” your brain this summer and learn something completely new. How about a journey through the world of the OCFO Financial Taxonomy on Wednesday, August 17, from 3:00-4:00 Eastern? You can read more about each course and sign up by clicking on the course title. Calendar invites will go out a few days before each event. If you have any questions, please send them to cfo-datadeliveryandmanagement@gsa.gov. Enjoy your summer.
