New: Key Dates for Telework and Remote Work Agreements

Last week, during the Administrator’s Town Hall, GSA leadership referenced key reentry dates and next steps for telework and remote agreements. The GSA Telework During Reentry one-pager is a handy visual guide for keeping track of those key dates.

In addition, the Office of Human Resources Management (OHRM) is committed to supporting your learning and development needs related to GSA’s Reentry and Future of Work. Trainings for both supervisors and employees can be found on the left hand side of GSA’s Training and Development Future of Work Learning Resources page.

Please contact your servicing HR specialist should you have any questions.

New: 1800 F Reentry Town Hall

On Thursday, December 16 from 2:30–3:45 p.m. Eastern, join Bob Stafford and other members of GSA’s leadership at a virtual 1800 F town hall to discuss an overview of the optional reentry plan and our post-pandemic work environment.

This event will be streamed on Google Meet. Live closed captioning will be available through FedRelay.

Video Streaming Tip: Connect to the live stream using your internet connection, not GSA's VPN or VDI.

Reminder: Last Call for Open Season Changes

Open season ends Monday, December 13, 2021. To make changes to your health benefits, including your health insurance, dental and vision, and your flexible spending accounts, visit the following sites:

Reminder: Use It or Donate It, Don't Lose It!

Did you know the leave year ends on January 1, 2022? Non-SES employees can carry up to 240 hours of annual leave into the new leave year. Any hours above that limit are considered “use or lose” leave time and will expire January 1, 2022.

Be sure to review your annual leave balances and coordinate with your supervisor when scheduling annual leave. You also have the option of donating annual leave to fellow employees in need through the Voluntary Leave Transfer Program (VLTP). The VLTP allows you to donate accrued annual leave to individuals facing personal or family medical emergencies. So if you can't use it yourself, consider donating it to someone who can.

Learn more on the pay and leave InSite page or contact your servicing HR specialist if you have any questions.

Reminder: Make Sure You Have an Active GSA Access Card

If you have been using your username and password to log into your computer because your GSA Access Card is expired, you will need to request an access card or renew your existing card by Friday, December 31, 2021.

You can send questions about GSA Access Cards to hspd12.security@gsa.gov.

Project Open Data!

Looking for data from another government agency, or trying to figure out how GSA can make more of our data public? Data.gov has a catalog of publicly available government data sets, and resources.data.gov is an online repository of tools and best practices to assist in the adoption of open data practices across the federal government. These sites have data standards and guidelines to assist agencies with documenting and listing agency datasets and application programming interfaces. Check them out!

Shout Outs

Every week we will feature OCFO colleagues who have been recognized by their peers for their great work and character. This is a quick, easy, and fun way to acknowledge and thank one another.

Trainings & Resources

New: Crucial Conversations Training

Crucial Conversations teaches skills for creating alignment and agreement by fostering open dialogue around high-stakes, emotional, or risky topics — at all levels of your organization. By learning how to speak and be heard (and encouraging others to do the same), you’ll surface the best ideas, make the highest-quality decisions, and then act on your decisions with unity and commitment. This is not just another communications class. It’s about results — how to get the results you are after through powerful dialogue.

Register: January 25-27 | June 14-16 | July 19-21

Check out the FY22 Enterprise-wide Training Course List for more training opportunities.

Reminder: The Data Delivery and Management Division is Here for You!

The Data Delivery and Management Division (BIC) tends to do its best work behind the scenes; but our team stands ready to assist you with your financial data, systems, and coding needs. In addition, we can help you with OCFO content on GSA.gov or InSite.

BIC recently launched an updated version of its Service Requests Metrics Dashboard on InSite. It provides links for how to submit requests to our team and metrics on the number of requests we receive by type and organization along with the savings major development requests achieve. Finally, it highlights our top five OCFO InSite pages and overall OCFO pageviews by month.

As a reminder, listed below are the best ways to reach us with specific requests (all of this can also be found under the OCFO Reporting Solutions topic page on InSite). The online form is preferable for most business intelligence, SAM, and InSite/GSA.gov requests since it enables tracking of requests. The main exceptions are Pegasys coding/template requests and financial system changes.

  • If you have a general question or need assistance troubleshooting an issue with one of our business intelligence platforms (PBS BI or Business Objects), you can email cfo-datadeliveryandmanagement@gsa.gov.
  • If you need assistance with developing new, or enhancing existing reports within PBS BI or Business Objects, or if you need to add or revise content on GSA.gov or InSite, please submit a service request ticket using our online form. This also applies to establishing new SAM requests.
  • If you have a Pegasys coding or template issue or question, please email ssocode.request@gsa.gov.
  • For changes to financial systems or interfaces, please submit a Project 360 request.

That is about it. Also, do not forget about the OCFO Financial Training and Resource Library for updated training material and virtual courses on a range of financial topics.
