🍂 People Highlight: Fall Reading Spotlight 📚

Leticia Braga recently joined GSA as the Senior Advisor to the Evaluation Officer Council. With the changing seasons often comes the inspiration to embrace personal growth and fresh perspectives. We asked Leticia for a fall reading recommendation, and to share what’s been inspiring her lately!

Leticia Braga

“Aligned with the change in seasons, I'd recommend the book Disrupt Yourself by Whitney Johnson. She takes her experience with disruptive innovation in the private sector and applies it to a theory of personal disruption; in her words, ‘the necessary pivots in our own career paths.’ Specifically, the S-curve posits that there may be a time of significant effort and little return at the beginning of an endeavor, but you'll reach an inflection point where your understanding and ability accelerate exponentially. In reflecting on my decision to recently join GSA and the Councils work, the book reaffirmed how jumping to a new S-curve in life can feel personally and professionally re-energizing, but also served as a helpful reminder that you need to be patient with yourself at the start of any new adventure!”
