FY2023 highlights

From innovations in using data to groundbreaking public conversations, it’s been a busy year! As the new fiscal year begins, let's reflect on some of the major milestones and events from FY 2023.

Financial Management Marketplace

The Department of the Treasury’s Bureau of the Fiscal Service launched the Financial Management Quality Service Management Office (FM QSMO) Marketplace on the Fiscal Service website. This is an important milestone in advancing the goals of the financial management community, the PMA, and Treasury’s 10-year vision.

Federal CIO Council Symposium: Fraud Detection & Prevention

Evaluation.gov Data Dashboard

Evaluation.gov launched an interactive Learning Agenda Questions Dashboard to identify agency priority evidence needs. You can search by topic, focus, and agency, making it easy to pinpoint where evidence is most needed across the Federal Government.

CDO Council Releases AI Episode of “Unstructured Data” Podcast

Shared Services Highlights

FSMO
  • The Health and Human Services (HHS) Grants QSMO Marketplace received a Service to the Citizen award in recognition for making significant advancements in improving the federal grants management process. They introduced a new solution to their marketplace and created a Buying Insights list for all marketplace solutions.
  • The Cybersecurity QSMO at CISA onboarded 40 agency programs to its Vulnerability Disclosure Policy platform offering and received over 1330 unique valid disclosures. They have remediated approximately 85% of the reports. Learn more.
  • The Department of Treasury’s Financial Management (FM) QSMO Marketplace expanded to over 50 offerings from Federal and commercial providers and saw its first agency contract award using the marketplace.

CDO Council hosted "Future CDOs: Strategies for Supporting Emerging Leaders"

The Federal Chief Data Officers Council (CDO Council) hosted a half-day virtual event "Future CDOs: Strategies for Supporting Emerging Leaders" with over 200 attendees. The event focused on how the federal data community can drive change within their agencies and discussed the role of the Federal CDO. Participants shared valuable insights on fostering data as a strategic asset, including trust-building, coalition formation, and developing transformative leadership skills.
