Synopsis:

The objective of this project is for a non-governmental organization to maintain a USDA National Hunger Clearinghouse for groups that assist low-income individuals or communities regarding nutrition assistance programs or other assistance. Information to be collected and disseminated includes public and private programs and services that improve the lives of low-income individuals and families, including their nutrition and health, and help them become self-reliant. The contractor shall operate USDA's toll-free food assistance, food recovery, and gleaning hotline (1-866-3-HUNGRY), which distributes the information from the database to callers. The Contractor will maintain the operation of this hotline and utilize the same phone number or another comparable telephone number, as applicable, if at all possible.
