2018 National Food Safety Education Month

September is National Food Safety Education Month, and is observed each year to heighten the awareness of food safety education. This is an excellent opportunity for WIC staff to emphasize to their participants the importance of practicing safe food handling principles.
In honor of this observance, this month the Partnership for Food Safety Education, Fight Bac ® is offering a free webinar and Facebook Live event highlighting the importance of food safety education. In addition, WIC staff will find a number of food safety resources, many available in both English and Spanish, on the WIC Works Resource System (WIC Works).
