Nutrition Month®
Team Nutrition resources are
available to support your Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)
activities. Check out the Team Nutrition Resource Catalog, which has a section just for child care! This
catalog provides details on all of Team Nutrition’s nutrition education
resources, as well as technical and training materials for child care, schools,
summer meals sites, and others participating in Federal Child Nutrition
Programs.

The Two-Bite Club is an educational storybook that encourages
young children to try foods from all five MyPlate food groups. Available in
English, Spanish, and as an eBook.

Team
Nutrition provides a number of recipes standardized
by USDA and cookbooks that are perfect for providers to use at CACFP sites and
for families to try at home.
The recipes below make for fun food preparation
activities:
- Discover MyPlate: Look and Cook Recipes
four pictorial recipes offer young kids a simple and visual way to
prepare healthy snacks with an adult. Available
in English on one side and Spanish on the reverse.

State-Developed Materials
Every year, State agencies from across the country apply
for Team
Nutrition Training Grants (TNTG) and
receive funding that is often used to enhance or develop
resources for CACFP providers. Check out some of the materials and tools
developed by recent grantees below.

Idaho CACFP Menu Toolkit includes a 21-day cycle menu with recipes and
best practices to help providers prepare delicious and healthy meals and
that can be adjusted for all age groups. Please note that the recipes
included in this resource are standardized by the Idaho State Department
of Education, not USDA (2015 TNTG).

Iowa CACFP Online Trainings are five online training modules for CACFP
providers focused on how to maintain a healthier child care environment.
These free, online modules cover a variety of topics such as farm to CACFP
and opportunities for active play (2014 TNTG).
Schools, child care providers (centers,
sponsors, and day care homes), and summer meal sites that participate in USDA Child
Nutrition programs may request free, printed copies of certain materials.
Printed materials may also be requested by State agency administering the USDA
Child Nutrition programs. Eligible entities may request printed copies using
our online order form.
