Summer Scout Programs

The U.S. Courts are pleased to host several badge workshops for Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts this summer.  Badges include “Citizenship in the Nation” for Boys, and “Inside Government” for Girls. Visit www.MOED.uscourts.gov/scouts for more information and registration instructions.

Law Day Lessons Coming Soon

Law Day is observed annually on May 1.  It’s a day set aside to celebrate the rule of law.  This year’s theme is “American Democracy and the Rule of Law: Why Every Vote Matters.”  The Office of Public Education and Community Outreach will be preparing a lesson plan packet for your use.  Be looking for a separate email this spring!

Summer Teacher Institute

The Eagleton Courthouse will host a free teacher institute again this summer.  Teachers will be treated to a full day of in-depth learning about the federal judicial branch and the legal system in America.  The event is scheduled for Thursday, July 24, 2014.  Registration will open in April.  A separate email will be coming this spring.  Watch this page for future details and registration information.  www.MOED.uscourts.gov/teachers

Judicial Learning Center

The Judicial Learning Center is located in the Thomas F. Eagleton U.S. Courthouse in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. It is dedicated to promoting public understanding of the importance of an independent judiciary and the rule of law in American society.
