S.D. Miss Bankr: US District Court for the Northern District of MS - 17th Annual Bench & Bar CLE Seminar
U.S. Courts sent this bulletin at 08/26/2025 11:05 AM EDTThe Judges of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi invite you to attend their 17th Annual Bench & Bar CLE Seminar on Friday, October 3, 2025. The seminar will begin promptly at 1:00 p.m. at the Inn at Ole Miss Conference Center in Oxford, Mississippi. On-site registration will begin at noon that day.
The seminar will include four insightful and timely presentations. Bankruptcy Judges Jason Woodard, Selene Maddox and Jamie Wilson will discuss Bankruptcy Court proceedings. Employment Discrimination Law will be addressed by University of Missouri professor Sandra Sperino. Fifth Circuit Judge Irma Carrillo Ramirez will engage in a conversation about the work of her court with Chief District Judge Debra Brown. There will also be a timely and informed presentation on the ethical and legal challenges and opportunities presented by Artificial Intelligence. The AI presentation will be conducted by Oliver Roberts who is an adjunct professor at the Washington University School of Law and a member of the Holtzman Vogel Law Firm.
The seminar will include special recognition of Judge Glen Davidson for his remarkable 40 years of service to the court.
Immediately following the seminar, the Northern District Judges will host a generous reception to enjoy fellowship, refreshments, and conversation.

The seminar and reception are free to attorneys. Attending attorneys are eligible for four hours of CLE credit including one hour of ethics.
