Re:  Voluntary Petitions (Official Forms 101 and 201) 

The Voluntary Petition for Individuals (Form 101) and Non-Individuals (Form 201) have been amended effective June 22, 2024. The forms are available at the U.S. Court's website: www.uscourts.gov/forms/bankruptcy-forms.

On June 21, 2024, Subchapter V of Chapter 11 and Chapter 13 debt provisions of the Bankruptcy Threshold Adjustment and Technical Corrections Act expired.  Effective June 22, 2024, the Subchapter V debt limit is $3,024,725, and the Chapter 13 threshold is an amount not more than $465,275 for unsecured noncontingent, liquidated debt and $1,395,875 for secured noncontingent, liquidated debt. 

Effective immediately, debtors should use the revised form to file a voluntary petition.
