S.D. Miss Bankr: Opportunity to Meet New Bankruptcy Judge

Appointment of New Bankruptcy Judge
The Honorable Jamie A. Wilson has been appointed as bankruptcy judge in the Jackson office of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. Judge Wilson has been assigned all active cases previously assigned to retired United States Bankruptcy Judge Neil P. Olack.

Meet the New Judge
Judge Wilson will open her courtroom on Friday, July 9, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, to provide an opportunity for introduction to attorneys and trustees that appear in the bankruptcy court for the Southern District of Mississippi. This will be a come-and-go event with no formal program or presentation. Please remember to follow all COVID protocols as required by Special Order #14 issued by the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi.

Hearings
All hearings previously scheduled to be held before Judge Olack on or after July 1, 2021, will be conducted by Judge Wilson (as scheduled). Judge Wilson will continue to follow the regular hearing schedule previously adopted by Judge Olack.

Procedures – Hearings, Filing Documents, Orders, etc.
Filing and hearing procedures will remain consistent with those previously adopted by Judge Olack unless and until you are notified otherwise.
