Summary:
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System (FRB), and National Credit Union Association (the agencies) are issuing a proposal for public comment to replace existing third-party risk management guidance with proposed guidance that would focus attention on tailoring risk management practices to the level of risk involved.
In addition, the FDIC, OCC, and FRB are issuing a Joint Statement on Community Banks’ Engagement with Core Service Providers to provide clarity on risk-based supervision of certain services provided to community banking organizations.
