On Wednesday, October 26, at 9 a.m. ET, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) Acting Chairman Martin J. Gruenberg will host a meeting of the FDIC’s Advisory Community on Community Banking. Committee members will discuss and receive updates on a range of issues that affect the nation’s community banks, including examination policies and procedures, credit and lending practices, deposit insurance assessments, insurance coverage, and regulatory compliance.
The meeting’s agenda includes a discussion of banking conditions; updates from the Office of the Ombudsman and the Minority Depository Institutions Subcommittee; a briefing on the amended Deposit Insurance Fund restoration plan and deposit insurance assessments; and a discussion regarding supervision and policy matters.
