Summary: The FDIC, with the other Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) agencies, has issued responses to questions received following the issuance of the Interagency Advisory on Interest Rate Risk (IRR) Management on October 24, 2010. The responses address IRR exposure measurement and reporting, model risk management, stress testing, assumption development, and model and systems validation. Financial institution management should consider the responses in the context of their institution's complexity, risk profile, business model, and scope of operations.

Statement of Applicability to Institutions Under $1 Billion in Total Assets: This Financial Institution Letter (FIL) applies to all FDIC supervised financial institutions.
