FDIC's 2016 Summary of Deposits (SOD) and Deposit Market Share Report Update

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation's (FDIC) Summary of Deposits (SOD) has been updated with data from the June 30, 2016 annual survey. The SOD provides deposit totals for each of the more than 91,000 domestic offices operated by over 6,000 FDIC-insured commercial and savings banks, savings associations, and U.S. branches of foreign banks. It also enables users to locate offices in a particular geographic area and create custom market share reports for geographic areas such as state, county and MSA.  The market share reports have been expanded to allow users to see market growth and market presence for specific institutions.  The SOD also includes historical data beginning in 1994 that can be analyzed on-line using various reports, tables and downloads. The SOD is accessible at https://www5.fdic.gov/sod.

Media inquiries should be directed to the FDIC's Office of Communications at Media Requests.  All other inquiries should be submitted to Questions, Suggestions and Requests.
