The Continuous Learning Period Ends in 13 Days! Read Acquisition Flash 2024-2!

The Office of Federal Procurement Policy released Acquisition Flash 2024-2: Training and Development of Civilian Agency Acquisition Professionals. All acquisition workforce professionals must read it, as the continuous learning period is only 13 days from closing.
Below is a brief summary:
- The importance of meeting the two-year continuous learning point requirements by April 30, 2024 is stressed.
- Members of the acquisition workforce who earn their CLP requirements by April 30, 2024 will remain certified and in good standing.
- FAC certifications will be placed in an "On Hold" status if you do not meet continuous learning requirements.
- Acquisition workforce members with a certification placed in the “On Hold” status must work with their agency’s ACM or SAR to resolve the status of their certification by June 30, 2024. Workforce members that do not resolve their “On Hold” status by June 30, 2024, will have their FAC certification “Revoked.”
- Acquisition workforce members should discuss their certification needs with their supervisor and can request revocation, if appropriate.
- Acquisition professionals play a vital role in meeting agency mission needs, and the new common period starts on May 1, 2024.
- Highlights professional development opportunities that include training courses, credentials, mandatory continuous learning courses, conferences, webinars, rotational assignments, and open learning opportunities.

Completed Training During the CLP Common Period!
Starting on April 18, 2024, FAI will temporarily turn off the archive functionality in FAI CSOD to help you stay compliant with meeting your CLPs. This will ensure that all training completed during the common CL period, counts/appears on your CLIP dashboard.
Please move any training that you completed during this common CL period from "archived" back to "completed" in order for it to be counted towards this common CLP period.

FAC 100 - Artificial Intelligence Overview Course Live in FAI CSOD
Congress passed the AI Training Act in 2021, mandating the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to offer artificial intelligence (AI) training to members of the federal workforce. OMB collaborated with the Stanford University Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence Department to fulfill this mandate. The course FAC 100 - "AI Overview," consists of six modules and covers fundamental aspects of AI technology. It provides learners with insights into the underlying principles and workings of AI. Participants will understand the mechanisms behind AI systems, including machine-learning algorithms and neural networks. Additionally, various sectors and industries explore the diverse applications of AI in the curriculum. FAI CSOD now offers FAC 100, which earns seven CLPs.
