The Office of Federal Procurement Policy released Acquisition Flash 2024-2: Training and Development of Civilian Agency Acquisition Professionals. Please read it as it relates to the common continuous learning period, which ends on April 30, 2024.

Below is a brief summary: 

• The importance of meeting the two-year continuous learning point requirements by April 30, 2024 is stressed.
• Members of the acquisition workforce who earn their CLP requirements by April 30, 2024 will remain certified and in good standing.
• FAC certifications will be placed in an "On Hold" status if you do not meet continuous learning requirements. 
• Acquisition workforce members with a certification placed in the “On Hold” status must work with their agency’s ACM or SAR to resolve the status of their certification by June 30, 2024. Workforce members that do not resolve their “On Hold” status by June 30, 2024, will have their FAC certification “Revoked.”
• Acquisition workforce members should discuss their certification needs with their supervisor and can request revocation, if appropriate.
• Acquisition professionals play a vital role in meeting agency mission needs, and the new common period starts on May 1, 2024.
• Highlights professional development opportunities that include training courses, credentials, mandatory continuous learning courses, conferences, webinars, rotational assignments, and open learning opportunities.
