Start On The Right Foot With FAI CSOD

Our final step in preparing FAI CSOD will be migrating your FAITAS user profile and training records. Do yourself a favor and ensure your profile information in FAITAS is correct. If it is wrong in FAITAS, it will be wrong in FAI CSOD. Your last day to correct any issues with your FAITAS profile is Friday, May 14th.*

Please double check that your supervisor information is accurate. This is the most common error we are finding in FAITAS records. Your supervisor in FAITAS must be someone with an active FAITAS account. Your supervisor cannot be someone claiming to be your direct report. If your supervisor information is inaccurate, it may cause you challenges in FAI CSOD.

*Note: To ensure adequate time for review and completion, earlier deadlines may be imposed by individual agencies and training providers.

Continuous Learning (CL) Requirement Update

On April 3, 2020, OFPP communicated that all Federal Acquisition Certifications (FAC) and CL Achievement requirements, with a current status as of February 1, 2020, were considered valid until further notice. This extension remains in effect. Automated processing of CL achievements, including revocations and lapsed periods, will not occur at FAI CSOD initial launch. OFPP will publish further guidance after the migration to a CSOD-supported CL tracking process. During this extension, CSOD will capture CL data for course completions in the system and all FAC certifications are “considered valid until further notice.” Agency ACMs will not need to manually monitor and track CLs pursued within CSOD. Contact your Agency ACM with questions. Information about CSOD, and the transition from FAITAS, will be available in Acquisition Today, from FAI and your ACM, and on the FAI CSOD FAQ Page.

SAM.gov Transition Demo for Federal Users

Join the Integrated Award Environment (IAE) online Federal Forum to learn what is changing for federal users at SAM.gov. IAE will merge SAM.gov with beta.SAM.gov on May 24. SAM.gov is where users register to do business with the federal government, find exclusion records, and perform other tasks. Register for the event and join IAE on May 12 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET.

OFPP Receives EPIC Ideas! Vote for your favorites!

OFPP launched its inaugural crowdsourcing campaign, Engaging Procurement Ideas to Crowdsource (EPIC), to identify innovative ideas to improve acquisition. Join the OFPP Innovates online crowdsourcing community to vote for the best ideas. Ideas receiving the most votes will be considered for incorporation into plans supporting Administration and other key government-wide acquisition priorities and initiatives.

Chief Acquisition Officer Council Acquisition, Program Management, and Small Business Excellence Awards

The Chief Acquisition Officer Council (CAOC) is accepting nominations for the Acquisition, Program Management, and Small Business Excellence Awards until July 1 at 5:00 p.m. ET. These awards recognize acquisition professionals who have contributed to improvements in acquisition, especially for efforts responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. On November 7-9, the awards will be presented at the Imagine Nation Conference. For more award details and the nomination form, check out FAI’s website.
