FAITAS Transition to Cornerstone on Demand (CSOD)

The Office of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP), FAI Board of Directors and FAI are pleased to announce the decision to transition FAITAS to the Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD) instance hosted by the Defense Acquisition University (DAU). We will begin work to configure CSOD this summer and expect final transition for all agencies in the spring of 2021.

Why we are moving to CSOD and partnering with DAU

  • Reliable and constantly evolving. CSOD is a commercial cloud based system supporting both the public and private sectors and maintains 99.9% uptime. CSOD will offer the acquisition workforce a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) system with a design based on best practices for an improved user experience.
  • Better supports the acquisition workforce (AWF) community.  Provides our acquisition workforce with a modern and user friendly platform. Based on our research and DAU’s proven CSOD implementation success, we believe users will rapidly adopt CSOD’s intuitive, robust and modern design capabilities.
  • Safe transfer of information. DAU has successfully moved organizations to CSOD and has proven performance in securely migrating users’ profiles and data. DAU has proven success with migrating multiple organizations to CSOD, and is familiar with the training and certification requirements of the federal acquisition workforce. They are ready to help us transition with minimal disruption.
  • Familiar interface. CSOD will become the new home for acquisition training registration and AWF management processes. Many of you may have already taken classes through DAU’s CSOD and are familiar with their student guides, task aids, training and other resources.  We will provide you with similar materials covering all functions prior to our transition to CSOD.
  • Strategically aligned. Supports the President's Management Agenda and the Office of Federal Procurement Policy’s Acquisition Workforce 2025 initiative.

As we move forward, we will keep you informed on our progress through multiple communication channels, to include:

  • fai.gov, Acquisition Today Newsletter
  • FAITAS announcements
  • FAITAS Migration to CSOD Frequently Asked Questions section on fai.gov.

FAI established a dedicated faicsod@fai.gov email address to collect your feedback.  We will periodically update the FAITAS CSOD Frequently Asked Questions with responses to questions or feedback. The FAI Team thank you for your support in advance!
