FAITAS LMS Enrollment is Closed September 26-30, 2019

If you are planning to enroll in online training through the FAITAS Learning Management System (LMS), don't delay! Enrollment in online training through the FAITAS LMS will be unavailable September 26-30, 2019, for the transition from FY19 to FY20. System users will again be able to register for FAITAS LMS courses on October 1, 2019.  Please note the FAITAS LMS will continue to be available during this period for you to work on the course(s) in which you are enrolled. If you are dropped or failed online training during this period, you will need to wait until October 1, 2019 at 7:00 a.m ET to re-enroll.

Effective Now!

The "Prohibition on Contracting for Certain Telecommunications and Video Surveillance Services or Equipment" (FAR Case 2018-017) interim rule is now effective! This rule amends the FAR to implement section 889(a)(1)(A) of the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2019 (Pub. L. 115-232). Paragraph (a)(1)(A) of section 889 prohibits agencies from procuring or obtaining, or extending or renewing a contract to procure or obtain, any equipment, system, or service that uses covered telecommunication equipment or services as a substantial or essential component of any system, or as a critical technology as part of any system on or after August 13, 2019, unless an exception applies or a waiver has been granted. Further prohibitions at paragraph (a)(1)(B) of section 889 go into effect August 13, 2020, and will be addressed through separate rulemaking. See Acquisition.gov for more information.

GSA Adds 24 Contractors to HCaTS Small Business Pool 1

GSA has “on-ramped” or added 24 new vendors to the Human Capital and Training Solutions (HCaTS) Small Business (SB) Pool 1 contract. The Best-in-Class HCaTS contracts are government-wide contract that provide reliable, flexible, fast and efficient ways to obtain complex, customized human capital and training services to all federal agencies. The award notification and awardee’s list have been on FedBizOpps under Solicitation Number 47QREB-19-R-0001. The on-ramp was conducted to increase participation and to expand competition within the Pool. As a result of this on-ramp, HCaTS SB Pool 1 contracts now has 35 contractors. The services available under HCaTS SB Pool 1 include customized training and development services, human capital strategy services, and organizational performance improvement. The HCaTS family of contracts have proven to be a significant step forward in supporting our customers, and improving acquisition efficiency and effectiveness in the federal government.
