Thomas O’Linn Wins Open Opportunity Contest
In May, OFPP announced a contest in connection with the launch of Acquisition Open Opportunities. Twenty-five agencies participated! OFPP is excited to announce that Thomas O’Linn, Procurement Analyst at the Department of the Treasury, has won the contest! Thomas used Acquisition Open Opportunities to announce four opportunities, including a request for help implementing the new FAR CLIN case, as well as an announcement of a forum to exchange ideas surrounding contract reporting in FPDS. Thomas also used the system to kick off a cross-agency collaboration to shape Treasury’s Acquisition Management Review policy. Treasury is paying it forward by offering a shadowing opportunity to observe early acquisition planning discussions between the SPE and other key stakeholders to improve management of major acquisitions. To recognize these efforts, the Chief Acquisition Officers Council will send Thomas to ACT-IAC’s Executive Leadership Conference. Congratulations, Thomas!
