Urban Myths: Are GSA’s Prices Fair and Reasonable? 

Over the years, GSA Schedule prices have been questioned if they are fair and reasonable. A recent Naval Postgraduate School MBA Professional Report provides a business case analysis comparing GSA Advantage to Amazon Business from the standpoint of prices and processes. The results of the study may be surprising in light of the recent Amazon Provision legislative activity!

This survey will assist the Community of Practice for Contracting Officer Representatives (COR CoP) to assess how to continue to exchange best practices and lessons learned, engage in mentoring partnerships and leverage training resources. We also want to welcome feedback from those that are not currently members of the COR CoP and encourage their participation in this survey.

The Acquisition Gateway has reached 18,000 federal users, collaborating to reach acquisition excellence. Civilian Contract Audit Services Ordering Guide Now Online

The Civilian Contract Audit Services Working Group, made up of representatives from more than 13 Federal agencies and co-led by GSA and the Federal Aviation Administration, has released a Civilian Contract Audit Services Ordering Guide. The ordering guide sets forth best practices for issuing task orders against the GSA Multiple Award Schedules for professional services to fill agencies’ contract audit requirements.  The guide is the result of a cross-agency collaboration to explore options to help agencies efficiently and effectively meet their contract audit requirements. Nominations Being Accepted Through March 20, 2018 for Small Business Excellence Awards

The Chief Acquisition Officers Council (CAOC) is seeking nominations for the 2018 Acquisition, Program Management, and Small Business Excellence Awards. Nominations are being solicited for Federal employees engaged in team or individual activities that led to excellent results in FY 2017. The award categories are: 1) Acquisition Excellence Award; 2) Small Business Excellence Award; and 3) Program Management Excellence Award. Nominations will be accepted through March 20, 2018. The awards will be presented at the Acquisition Excellence in Washington, DC this summer!
