Dear FAA Team,
It’s an incredible honor to serve as your new FAA Administrator. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to join this team and to lead an agency with such a critical mission. I come to the FAA with deep respect for the work you do every day to protect the safety and efficiency of our national airspace.
Safety will remain our North Star. The tragic accident at DCA earlier this year was a painful reminder of the responsibility we all share. That must never happen again. My thoughts remain with the loved ones of those lost. We must never grow complacent—and we must always hold ourselves to the highest standards to keep our skies safe.
I’m also thankful to Secretary Duffy for his leadership and bold vision—particularly his commitment to building a modern, state-of-the-art air traffic control system in the next three to four years. Delivering on that vision will take all of us, and I’m committed to partnering with him—and with you—to make it a reality.
We’re building a modern, resilient, agile FAA—one that can meet today’s challenges and tomorrow’s demands. That means embracing innovation, staying ahead of emerging technologies like advanced air mobility, and making smart, forward-thinking investments in our systems and people.
There’s important work ahead, and I want to learn from you as we take it on together. Over the next several weeks, I’ll be hearing directly from you: visiting facilities, meeting with teams and getting briefings from experts throughout the agency. I want to understand what’s working, what’s not and how I can support you.
I want to make sure every employee has the tools they need to do their job safely and effectively. This is a team effort, and I’m committed to building trust and delivering results together.
Finally, thank you to Chris for his steady leadership as Acting Administrator over the past five and a half months. He helped guide the agency through challenging times, and I look forward to working with him.
Thank you for all that you do—your dedication, resilience and commitment to public service are truly inspiring. I'm proud to join you on this mission and look forward to all that we will accomplish together.
Bryan
