Change to FRAC VPN Access: Register for New MyAccess MFA Service

Introducing the Enhanced MyAccess Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Service

This message is for all FAA personnel.

The Office of Information & Technology (AIT) is pleased to provide an enhanced MyAccess multi-factor authentication (MFA) service to secure the FAA’s network, systems, and applications from unauthorized access.

On Wednesday, September 21, the new MyAccess MFA service will secure FRAC VPN (Pulse Secure).

As a result, on this date the “FRAC – MyAccess” email log-in option will change. You will no longer be able to log-in using your FAA email address, MyAccess PIN, and answers to security questions.

Instead, you can use the FAA’s new MyAccess MFA service via the Okta Verify app now on your FAA computer, and the Okta Verify or Google Authenticator app that you can install on your FAA-issued or personal mobile device(s).

Please prepare for this change now! Visit my.faa.gov/go/MyAccessMFA to learn about this new service and register your MFA account.

Important note: You will continue to be able to log-in to FRAC VPN using “FRAC – ePIV” and the “FRAC – Token” options. 

However, please consider registering for the MyAccess MFA service now if you access FRAC VPN from a mobile device or if you may ever be without your PIV card and/or token.  

In the future, the MyAccess MFA service will secure other FAA systems and applications.

Please be aware that AIT is developing schedules to transition other FAA systems and applications to this new MyAccess MFA service. We will share information about future transitions in advance of changes.
