Thank You

Straight from Steve

“After 43 years in aviation and the last few years leading the premier aviation authority in the world, I’ve made the very difficult decision to step down as FAA Administrator, effective March 31. Over the past several years, my family has been a source of tremendous encouragement, strength and support. Nevertheless, after sometimes long and unavoidable periods of separation from my loved ones during the pandemic, it is time to devote my full time and attention to them. As I wrote in my letter to President Biden, it is time to go home.” – Steve Dickson

Celebrating Service

Roco Campbell

While Roco Campbell left his longtime post as the manager of the Los Angeles NAVAIDs Installation Team last September, his 60+ years of service to the U.S. (starting at the FAA in 1979 and the USAF in 1961) are worth recognizing again during Black History Month. Along with being known for his deep technical expertise and colorful personality, Roco was also admired for his work ethic, management style and his mentorship of countless technicians and engineers at LAX, while tirelessly meeting numerous technical and logistical challenges.

It builds on the 2016 Performance Based Navigation NAS Navigation Strategy, which laid out a high-level vision that focused priorities and milestones on transitioning to data-driven decision-making, helping to deliver broad and sustainable benefits across the NAS.
