Dear FAA Colleagues,
I hope this notice finds you safe and well.
This morning, you received an e-mail from Phil McNamara, Assistant Secretary for Administration at the Department of Transportation. He announced a pause on reentry for teleworking employees in all agencies within the Department, including FAA. At this time, we are not setting new reentry dates. While it’s difficult to predict the path of the pandemic, we will provide at least 30-days’ notice before employees on maximum telework will be expected to transition to re-entry.
Your health and safety, along with balancing the needs of our mission continue to be at the forefront of our decision making criteria. Mission requirements may necessitate periodic onsite work before the new re-entry schedule is finalized.
We rely on reported COVID-19 case data, and guidance from the Safer Federal Workforce Task Force and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as we make decisions about FAA’s re-entry and future of work planning. Please visit the Future of Work page on MyFAA, for frequently asked questions and other informational materials for employees and managers. I will also keep you apprised as we update policies and procedures to reflect our new and evolving work environment.
I wish you good health.
Annie B. Andrews
Assistant Administrator Office of Human Resource Management
