The DOE Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Geothermal Technologies Program seeks technologies that reduce the levelized cost of electricity to 6ยข/kWh by 2020 for new hydrothermal development and by 2030 for Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS).
