We need your help! The Geothermal Technologies Office (GTO) research, development, and deployment portfolio continues to grow—and, with it, our need for merit reviewers for our funding opportunities and laboratory calls. We are currently seeking reviewers for our Community Geothermal Heating and Cooling Design and Deployment funding opportunity, but also welcome experts from across the geothermal spectrum for future reviews. 

Who can get involved? 

  • All sectors welcome (academia, industry, nonprofits, government) 
  • Broad range of expertise needed, including: 
    • Geothermal, oil and gas, mining, HVAC sectors
    • District-scale heating and cooling systems; direct use (needed immediately)
    • Geosciences, geophysics, geochemistry, geomechanics 
    • Subsurface exploration, resource management, and production 
    • Rare earth and critical materials 
    • Data analysis, computational modeling, and machine learning 
    • Energy finance, permitting, and policy 
    • Workforce 
    • Diversity, equity, and inclusion 

How do I get involved? 

  • Submit a brief introduction that includes your area(s) of expertise and current CV or resume to DOE.geothermal@ee.doe.gov.
