Save the Dates for FEMP's Re-Tuning Challenge Workshops

Re-tuning is proven to be a cost-effective method for identifying savings opportunities through the building automation system (BAS). Completed facility re-tunings have resulted in a 5 to 25% savings with a simple payback of 0.3 to 3.5 years. These on-site workshops provide insights into re-tuning principles and instruct practitioners on how to apply the re-tuning approach. This includes the use of interval metered data and BAS trend data to uncover potential opportunities, and a checklist approach to evaluating building energy systems for best practice controls. Registration will open soon for FEMP's re-tuning challenge workshops in the following locations:

  • Tuesday, October 15 - Thursday, October 17, 2019 at the Arraj U.S. Courthouse in Denver, CO (SESSION FULL)
  • Tuesday, October 29 - Thursday, October 31, 2019 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Salt Lake City, UT
  • Monday, November 18 - Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA

Register for Upcoming Electric Vehicle Site Assessment Training

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) is holding a regional training session on Monday, November 18, 2019, in Columbus, Ohio. The training, offered at no charge to attendees, is designed to provide fleet managers, fleet coordinators, and facility managers with the skills and knowledge to become subject matter experts in electric vehicle (EV) implementation. This one-day training serves as an introduction to electric vehicle technology and considerations for  electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) installation. Upon completion of this course, attendees will be able to select the best EVs for their fleet, as well as plan and install the necessary EVSE to serve the needs of these new vehicles.
