On July 22, 2019, FEMP issued a Federal Agency Call (FAC) titled "Assisting Federal Facilities with Energy Conservation Technologies (AFFECT) 2019" (DE-FOA-0002143). The AFFECT 2019 FAC will provide direct funding to U.S. federal agencies for applications that (1) promote the use of external, leveraged funding to advance energy affordability and resilience; (2) integrate technologies that advance the resilience and mission critical functionality of a site that are not part of a leveraged project; and (3) support the deployment of an integrated energy management system that allows for standardized and streamlined practices that save energy and promote the safety, health and operations of facilities. To apply to AFFECT 2019, applicants must register with and submit application materials through EERE Exchange. Visit FEMP's website for more information, and send questions regarding this FAC to AFFECT2019@ee.doe.gov.

TECO Energy Federal/Utility Partnership Meeting Rescheduled
TECO Energy and FEMP are helping federal agencies improve facility operations, upgrade infrastructure, improve resilience, and save taxpayer dollars by offering partnership opportunities through utility energy service contracts (UESCs). A UESC is a limited-source contract between a federal agency and serving utility for energy management services. UESCs are ideal for any size project. FEMP encourages all federal entities in the TECO Energy service territory to attend this important training and partnering opportunity, now scheduled for October 22, 2019 in Tampa, Florida. The UESC training will be conducted by FEMP representatives. Visit the registration site for details.
