FEMP Offers New ESPC ESA Resources

FEMP recently published new resources for federal agencies pursuing energy savings performance contract energy sales agreements (ESPC ESAs). An ESPC ESA is a project structure, similar to a power purchase agreement, that uses the multiyear ESPC authority to implement renewable energy projects on federal buildings or land. See the main ESPC ESA webpage for links to factsheets, templates, and more information.

FEMP Launches New Utility Energy Service Contract Training for ESCOs

FEMP will hold a newly developed webinar on April 4, 2019 to help energy service companies (ESCOs) better understand the utility energy service contract (UESC) project process and the important role they play on the UESC project team. Participants will also learn about resources and UESC project assistance available from FEMP. Best practices will be shared as well as information on how ESCOs can best support their utility partners to deliver excellent projects to the federal government. Visit the Whole Building Design Guide for more details and to register.

Mark Your Calendar for the Spring Federal Utility Partnership Working Group (FUPWG) Seminar

The 2019 Spring FUPWG seminar is scheduled for May 2-3 in San Diego, California, and will be hosted by FEMP and San Diego Gas & Electric. FUPWG establishes partnerships and fosters communication between federal agencies, specific sites, and utilities to implement cost-effective energy efficiency and water conservation projects. These projects help agencies improve operations, upgrade infrastructure, and save taxpayer dollars. Attendance at both 2019 seminars were over 300, so register early for this excellent networking and training opportunity.
