FEMP Announces Energy Exchange 2019
The annual Energy Exchange 2019 training and trade show event will be held August 20-22, 2019 in Denver, Colorado. With the theme, "Be Efficient And Resilient," the 2019 event will focus on the integrated aspects of ensuring efficient and mission-ready federal operations. The Energy Exchange remains one of the best opportunities for agencies to ensure their workforce fulfills training mandates in alignment with legislative and Administration workforce development objectives. Call for Nominations Now Open for the 2019 Federal Energy and Water Management Awards
FEMP sponsors the annual Federal Energy and Water Management Awards to honor outstanding federal agency achievements in energy, water, and fleet management. Visit the webpage for more information and to download the 2019 Criteria and Guidelines. Submit nominations by April 30, 2019.
FEMP will offer two identical one-hour WebEx presentations to provide an overview of the 2019 awards criteria and the online portal. Register here for the February 27 meeting at 1:30 pm EST. Register here for the March 14 meeting at 2:00 pm EDT.
FEMP Offers New ESPC ESA Resources
FEMP recently published new resources for federal agencies pursuing energy savings performance contract energy sales agreements (ESPC ESAs). An ESPC ESA is a project structure, similar to a power purchase agreement, that uses the multiyear ESPC authority to implement renewable energy projects on federal buildings or land. FEMP Launches New Utility Energy Service Contract Training for ESCOs
FEMP will hold a newly developed webinar on April 4, 2019 to help energy service companies (ESCOs) better understand the utility energy service contract (UESC) project process and the important role they play on the UESC project team. Participants will also learn about resources and UESC project assistance available from FEMP. Best practices will be shared as well as information on how ESCOs can best support their utility partners to deliver excellent projects to the federal government. Mark Your Calendar for the Spring Federal Utility Partnership Working Group (FUPWG) Seminar
The 2019 Spring FUPWG seminar is scheduled for May 2-3 in San Diego, California, and will be hosted by FEMP and San Diego Gas & Electric. FUPWG establishes partnerships and fosters communication between federal agencies, specific sites, and utilities to implement cost-effective energy efficiency and water conservation projects. These projects help agencies improve operations, upgrade infrastructure, and save taxpayer dollars. Attendance at both 2019 seminars were over 300, so register early for this excellent networking and training opportunity.

Data Center Energy Efficiency: Air Management: Part of an on-demand training series that presents energy efficient best practices in data centers, this course discusses hot and cold aisles, containment strategies, recirculation and bypass air, airflow restriction and congestion, and alternatives to underfloor air management systems.
