The Energy Department is Seeking Subject Matter Experts for the Advanced Algal Systems Program

The Advanced Algal Systems Program within the Bioenergy Technologies Office seeks to expand its pool of engaged subject matter experts that we rely on for review of competitive funding applications, technical reports, and strategic plans. Currently, we are preparing the reviewer pool for our recently released funding opportunity announcement "Advancements in Algal Biomass Yield, Phase 2." If you are not part of an application team, we encourage you to consider registering as a potential merit reviewer. You will be helping the government select the most qualified applicants to advance the algal biofuels industry. To apply, please visit the EERE-Exchange Reviewer Registration page.

The Advanced Algal Systems Program is also soliciting experts in the field to review a recent update to our National Algal Biofuels Technology Roadmap, and the program plans to hold a strategic planning workshop this spring. If you are interested in becoming engaged in the program through workshops and review of publications, we would like to hear from you by emailing eere_bioenergy@ee.doe.gov. To receive announcements on upcoming stakeholder engagement opportunities including workshops, conferences, and webinars, please visit bioenergy.energy.gov and subscribe to our news updates.
