FTA today announced the availability of $657 million to modernize passenger ferry service in rural and urban communities across the country.
FTA’s ferry grant programs help modernize terminal infrastructure, launch new ferry routes, and fund new ferries to connect American families to their jobs and communities more efficiently.
Instructions for applying and eligibility information can be found on FTA's Website and in GRANTS.GOV for the Passenger Ferry, Electric or Low Emitting Ferry, and Ferry Service for Rural Communities programs. Complete proposals must be submitted electronically through GRANTS.GOV by May 11, 2026.
