FTA invites you to attend two upcoming webinars focused on the Rail Transit Roadway Worker Protection (RWP) Rule. The first webinar, RWP Rule: Street Running and Small Systems, will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 3–4:00 p.m. ET. This session will explore how small rail transit systems and those with street-running rail can apply the RWP requirements to their unique operating environments. To attend please register here. 

The second webinar, RWP Rule: Training and Qualification Program Best Practices, will take place on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 2–3:00 p.m. ET. Issued in October 2024, the RWP final rule requires rail transit agencies to implement programs that protect workers operating on or near the tracks. Agencies must receive State Safety Oversight Agency approval for their RWP programs by December 2, 2025, and ensure comprehensive training and reporting mechanisms are in place.
