Today, FTA announced $20.5 billion in Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 funding to support public transportation throughout the country, detailed in apportionment tables for each program. About $14 billion in formula funding is now immediately available to FTA recipients.
Made available by Congressional passage of a continuing resolution through the end of FY 2025, this funding will allow agencies nationwide to continue to make investments in safety, efficiency, and project delivery.
The FY 2025 Apportionments Notice, which provides further details on procedures and requirements related to grant administration, will be published in the Federal Register at a later date. In the meantime, the tables containing funding amounts by program type and locality (state, Tribe, or urbanized area) provide the information needed for grant recipients to begin their applications for FY 2025 funding through FTA’s electronic grant system, TrAMS.
