As part of FTA’s continuing technical assistance for transit asset management, FTA has opened the application for FTA’s TAM program assessment. Interested agencies must apply between January 13 – 31, 2025. All transit agencies that receive FTA funding are eligible to apply except those that have recently participated in a TAM program assessment.
Upon acceptance to the program, the TAM program assessment technical assistance team will review TAM plans and conduct interviews with staff across the organization. All participants will receive a summary report including ratings for various aspects of their agency’s TAM program, highlighting successful areas and suggestions to improve challenging aspects.
The primary applicant’s name listed should be responsible for TAM at their organization and willing to participate in all interviews done during the assessment process. All agency personnel who interact with TAM (e.g., TAM staff, maintenance, engineering, operations, capital planning, finance, executive leadership) must be willing to participate in the review.
After a short review period, a group of agencies will be chosen to participate. Successful applicants will receive notice via email.
