FTA published updated Public Transportation Agency Safety Plans (PTASP) Technical Assistance Center (TAC) resources including: 

• Agency Safety Plan (ASP) Checklist for Bus Transit Agencies Serving Large Urbanized Areas 

• ASP Checklist for Bus Transit Agencies Serving Small Urbanized Areas 

• ASP Checklist for Rail Transit Agencies (RTAs) Serving Large Urbanized Areas and State Safety Oversight Agencies (SSOAs) 

• ASP Checklist for RTAs Serving Large Urbanized Areas and SSOAs 

These updated checklists incorporate the requirements of the PTASP final rule published in April 2024 to assist transit agencies with developing or updating their agency safety plans in accordance with PTASP requirements. 

FTA has also updated the PTASP TAC and Resource Library webpage. The new structure consists of a single page organized by Safety Management System (SMS) components.
