Applications are open for new Transit Advisory Committee for Safety (TRACS) members! FTA is seeking applications from individuals to join TRACS for a two-year term. For 15 years, TRACS has provided safety recommendations and advice on matters of critical safety importance in public transportation to the U.S. Secretary of Transportation and FTA Administrator. On average, the full committee meets twice annually, with monthly subcommittee meetings as members work on tasks, recommendations and reports.
Applications are due Wednesday, November 6, 2024, and should include the applicant's name and organizational affiliation; a cover letter describing the applicant's qualifications and interest in serving on TRACS; a curriculum vitae or resume; and contact information. Please refer to the Federal Register Notice for additional details. Self-application and application through nomination of others are acceptable. FTA prefers electronic submission of applications via email to TRACS@dot.gov.
