This See Tracks? Think Train Week, FTA is hosting a webinar on Wednesday, September 25 at 2 p.m. ET to discuss the importance of making safe choices when driving or walking near rail tracks and trains. Register here to attend.
During this webinar, FTA will provide an overview and New Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation (CAIT) at Rutgers University will highlight research that uses artificial intelligence to detect trespassing events on rail transit property.
Additionally, Hampton Roads Transit will discuss their agency’s efforts to promote safe behaviors around their light rail system and the non-profit, Operation Lifesaver Inc., will discuss safety education and outreach to transit riders and available transit agency resources.
