Today, FTA announced nearly $1.5 billion in grants to support 117 projects that will improve bus transit in 47 states. The funding invests in more than 1,100 American-built buses, and about 80 percent of the buses being funded will run on zero and low-emission technology, reducing air pollution and helping meet President Biden’s goal of zero emissions by 2050.
Today’s investment is the third bus grant package funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which has now invested nearly $5 billion in American transit buses and the infrastructure that supports them.
