TRB Webinar: A Guide to Joint Development for Public Transportation Agencies
The Federal Transit Administration sent this bulletin at 08/31/2021 09:09 AM EDTThe Transportation Research Board (TRB) will conduct a free webinar from 2-3:30 p.m. ET Thursday, September 2, 2021, that will provide guidelines encouraging transit agencies to embrace joint development. The webinar features research findings from the Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP)’s Research Report 224: Guide to Joint Development for Public Transportation Agencies.
Presenters will explain the benefits of joint development, identify best practices, and walk through how to use the new resource as a guide.
Speakers will cover:
- What is the joint development and why do transit agencies do it (Alden Raine, AECOM)
- How to use the guide: The expanding horizon of joint development opportunities (Alden Raine, AECOM)
- The economics of joint development: Dena Belzer, Strategic Economics, Inc.
- Question and answer session: Moderated by Lucy Galbraith, Metro Transit
