Transit Cooperative Research Program Oversight and Project Selection (TOPS) Commission requests letters of interest (Due Friday, May 1)

The Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP) Oversight and Project Selection (TOPS) Commission is soliciting letters of interest from those who would seek to serve on the Commission. The TOPS Commission is the independent governing board statutorily designated to oversee TCRP, a cooperative undertaking between the Transportation Research Board (TRB), the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) and FTA.

Successful candidates will be well-established leaders in public transportation and related fields. Members serve for three years and attend two meetings annually for the purpose of selecting projects to be undertaken by the Transit Cooperative Research Program and providing oversight and evaluation of the program. Expenses for program participants are paid by the program.

Interested persons should provide a letter of interest and a biographical sketch by Friday, May 1 to Cynthia Owens for consideration.

FTA sponsors TCRP to develop innovative solutions and adapt technologies and approaches to help meet the demands placed on the nation’s public transit systems.
